The Challenge

During the COVID-19 pandemic, Sri Lanka had no centralised system to track critical medicines and test kits — leading to supply gaps, wastage, and coordination failures across thousands of facilities.

Project Overview

What We Built

The Supariksha Inventory Management System is a companion platform to the island-wide COVID testing system — purpose-built to centralise all COVID medicines and test kits across Sri Lanka's healthcare network.

The system connects every tier of the supply chain: from the Medical Supplies Division (MSD) at the top, through Regional Medical Supplies Depots (RMSDs), down to hospital pharmacies and ward-level dispensing.

Developed and handed over to the Ministry of Health, the system provides a structured ordering workflow, multi-store inventory management, and automated drug balancing across the entire national healthcare supply chain.
